Ming Dynasty (1368-1644)
The grey resonant limestone is vertically oriented with a dramatic overhang above craggy protrusions. The stone displays a characteristic smooth, wrinkled and veined surface. The rock rests on a high four-legged hongmu Suzhou-type base. The lingbi is of overall grey colour with subtle white veining and brownish inclusions.
